Hey Y’all!

I wanted to use my second ever blog post to introduce the concept of Throwback Thursdays and Spotlight Saturdays. These will be multimedia posts highlighting either a, (now), classic IP that had, or still has, significant roots in indie-publishing. Take RWBY for example. It’s crazy to imagine that a show so beloved in the terminally online community had such humble beginnings… that is, it would be crazy if so many others weren’t replicating Roosterteeth’s model for success. Still, it’s fun to look back and remember where we were in our youth when certain titles were at the height of their game.

Next off, let’s talk about Spotlight Saturdays, which are, functionally, the opposite of Throwback Thursdays. These opportunities are reserved for highlighting new fresh IPs that, I believe, deserve a lot more love than they’re getting. These could be projects that hardly anyone has ever heard of, let alone checked out for themselves… or they might be projects that are getting a decent amount of buzz as is and maybe for good reason.

These two activities will take the form of blog posts and shorts/reels with accompanying fanarts. That is to say that you will see them here or posted elsewhere on various Mars Supial socials. So there’s something to look forward to. You might get some good recommendations out of it, who knows. ;3
